The following, submitted by an anonymous observer, require clarification.  The first four, being predominantly water birds, require water; there is no water on the climb to the top of Boat Mountain.  Were the birds noted flying by overhead?  Did the observer included lower, farming. areas in the count?  The Bower's Shrike-thrush, on reflection, appears an impossible species for this area and comes into doubt as a possible mis-identification for a Little Shrike-thush.
