30 Reports from Allen Road of Pacific Koel, Sacred Kingfisher, Striated Pardalote, Oriental Dollarbird and second Rufous Whistler here this month.  Reports of 1 Black Kite, 3 Royal Spoonbills, Sacred Kingfisher, Oriental Dollarbird, Noisy Friarbird, Black-faced Cuckoo-shrike, White-winged Chough [first of month]., Common Starling [another month's first] and Double-barred Finch.  All between Nanango and Yarraman.  Reports  from Din Din Road of Wonga Pigeon, 1 Little Black Cormorant, Pheasant Coucal, Pacific Koel. Little Bronze-Cuckoo [first report since December 2013], Sacred Kingfisher, White-throated Treecreeper, White-throated Gerygone, 1 White-winged Triller, 2 Rufous Whistlers, Grey Shrike-thrush, 1 Olive-backed Oriole, 1 Dusky Woodswallow, Leaden Flycatcher, 3 Restless Flycatchers, 1 Jacky Winter and 2 Australasian Pipits.
29 Good start to the day at Allen Road with Southern Boobook calling at 0408 hours. Soon followed by Masked Lapwing [0423 hours], Grey Shrike-thrush [third one this month, following an absence since February]. Pacific Koel [male], Sacred Kingfisher, Leaden Flycatcher and Mistletoebird [first since last August] added to the tally. Marvellous aerial display by a pair of Oriental Dollarbirds soon followed by appearance of 2 White-throated Needletails, Day’s end brought Brown Goshawk.  Nanango Fauna Sanctuary produced, among other species, 2 Grey Teal, a pair of nesting Sacred Kingfishers, Pacific Koel, Great Cormorant, White-throated Treecreeper, Eastern Whipbird, Olive-backed Oriole, Little Corella, Mistletoebird and a copulating pair of Little Black Cormorants. 
28 Early reports of Pacific Koel and Channel-billed Cuckoo along Allen Road.  Also at Allen Road, reports of Leaden Flycatcher and Whistling Kite.  Pacific Koel and Channel-billed Cuckoo at Blackbutt State School.
27 Early morning calls from Southern Boobook, Shining Bronze-Cuckoo, Brush Cuckoo and Olive-backed Oriole.  Rufous Whistler back on Allen Road.  1 Sacred Kingfisher and 2 Peaceful Doves noted perched on overhad wires running along Allen Road.  4 Australian Wood Duck on side of road enroute to Maidenwell.  Late report of 12 White-throated Needletails flying over Allen Road.
26 All reports from Allen Road:  Tawny Frogmouth, Shining Bronze-Cuckoo, Noisy Friarbird, Pacific Koel, Olive-backed Oriole, Channel-billed Cuckoo, Brush Cuckoo and Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoo.  Late report from Judi Chatwood of Rainbow Bee-eater pair at Blackbutt, near area of recent bushfire.
25 Oriental Dollarbird, Sacred Kingfisher and Channel-billed Cuckoo return to Allen Road.  2 Sulphur-crested Cockatoos put in a unexpected appearance.  Return of Leaden Flycatcher to Allen Road and the first Rufous Whistler here since April 2014.  Pacific Koel calling at Blackbutt State School and one Laughing Kookaburra noted perched on overhead wires along Sutton Street, Blackbutt.
24 Shining Bronze-Cuckoo, Pacific Koel, Noisy Friarbird and Olive-backed Oriole calling from along Allen Road.  Pacific Koel calling at Blackbutt State School.
23 Reports of regular early summer migrants along Allen Road:  Shining Bronze-Cuckoo, Pacific Koel, Olive-backed Oriole, Oriental Dollarbird and Noisy Friarbird.
22 Early reports of Channel-billed Cuckoo, Pacific Koel, Shining Bronze-Cuckoo, Oriental Dollarbird and Noisy Friarbird calling from along Allen Road.  Late report of Sacred Kingfisher and Cicadabird calling along Allen Road.
21 Regular early summer migrants continue to call along Allen Road: Shining Bronze-Cuckoo, Oriental Dollarbird and Pacific Koel [male & female]; 2 Noisy Friarbirds.  Also present, Leaden Flycatcher and Grey Shrike-thrush [last here on 04.11.14.  3 Black Kite noted along Berlin Road.  1 Noisy Friarbird at Blackbutt State School and also Pacific Koel [male] heard calling.
20 Shining Bronze-Cuckoo, Pacific Koel calling along Allen Road.  Australian Brush-turkey noted on side of road just outside Yarraman.  Pacific Koel calling at Blackbutt State School.  1 Sacred Kingfisher noted on overhead wires along Allen Road.
19 Veritable plethora of summer migrants calling along Allen Road: Channel-Billed Cuckoo, Shining Bronze-Cuckoo, a pair of Pacific Koel, NoistyFriarbird, Olive-backed Oriole, Oriental Dollarbird, Sacred Kingfisher and Rainbow Bee-eater.  Also present here, female Leaden Flycatcher.  Black Kite noted hunting along Berlin Road; 2 White-throated Needletails and a solitary Wonga Pigeon at Yarraman.  Pacific Koel [male] calling at Blackbutt State School.
18 Shining Bronze-Cuckoo, Olive-backed Oriole calling along Allen Road;  20+ White-throated Needletails noted on Allen Road.  3 Straw-necked Ibis at D'Aguilar Highway end of Berlin Road.  Pacific Koel [male] calling at Blackbutt State School.
17 Shining Bronze-Cuckoo and Olive-backed Oriole both continue to call along Allen Road.  Pacific Koel [male] and Channel-billed Cuckoo reported from Blackbutt State School.  Pheasant Ciucal noted on edge of Berlin Road.
16 Report from Colleen Fingland of 2 Glossy Black-Cockatoos at her Elouera Street property.  Pacific Koel [male] calling from Along Allen Road; also Olive-backed Oriole.
15 Usual collection of summer migrants present along Allen Road:  pair of Pacific Koel, Brush Cuckoo. Oriental Dollarbird, Noisy Friarbird, Sacred Kingdfsher and Olive-backed Oriole.  Leaden Flycatcher still present here.  Late report of Little Friarbird over Allen Road.
14 Second consecutive day, Leaden Flycatcher calling along Allen Road; also present Pacific Koel and Shining Bronze-Cuckoo.  Pacific Koel calling at Blackbutt State School.  2 Black Kite noted along Berlin Road.
13 Leaden Flycatcher calling along Allen Road [last reported here on 24.09.2013].  Also now seemingly well-established Pacific Koel and Shining Bronze-Cuckoo.  4 Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoos at Blackbutt State School; also Pacific Koel calling.  Late report of White-browed Scrubwren calling from property.
12 Pair of Pacific Koel at Allen Road, female being harassed by Noisy Miner.  Brush Cuckoo back on Allen Road. along with Olive-backed Oriole and Spiny-cheeked Honeyeater.  Late report from Colleen Fingland of a Rufous Fantail on her Elouera Street property.
11 Usually trio of early morning summer migrants still present along Allen Road: Pacific Koel, Shining Bronze-Cuckoo and Noisy Friarbird.
10 Shining Bronze-Cuckoo and male Pacific Koel calling along Allen Road.  Pacific Koel [male] calling at Blackbutt State School.  Olive-backed Oriole at Allen Road.
9 Plethora of early morning summer migrants to Allen Road: Pacific Koel, Shining Bronze-Cuckoo, Olive-backed Oriole, Noisy Friarbird, Sacred Kingfisher, Oriental Dollarbird and Channel-billed Cuckoo.  Also present: Masked Lapwing, Common Bronzewing, Pheasant Coucal and Eastern Whipbird.  22 species by 0500 hours;  31 species by 0800 hours local time.  Late report of Brush Cuckoo calling along Allen Road.
8 Australasian Pipit noted along Berlin Road.  Brush Cuckoo calling again along Allen Road.
7 Lewin's Honeyeater continues along Allen Road; also Cicadabird.  Black Kite reported flying low over Berlin Road.
6 Fay Bielewicz reports first Lewnis's Honeyeater along Allen Road since June 2011.  Also still present, Shining Bronze-Cuckoo and Pacific Koel.
5 Debbie Gould reports some 24 Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoo over Blackbutt State School at about 0500 hours this morning.  Male Pacific Koel continues at the school.  Pacific Koel also calling along Allen Road.  Oriental Dollarbird calling.  Return of White-browed Scrubwren to Allen Road.
4 Return of male Pacific Koel to Allen Road, also reported from Blackbutt State School; Shining Bronze-Cuckoo called again; the year's third only Grey Shrike-thrush along Allen Road [11.01.14 and 08.02.14]; last South Burnett record, 23.09.14.  Late report of Channel-billed Cuckoo calling at Allen Road.  
3 Shining Bronze-Cuckoo back along Allen Road in early hours of morning.
2 Olive-backed Oriole continues to call along Allen Road.  Pair of Peaceful Dove perched alongside each other on Allen Road.  White-necked Heron along D'Aguilar Highway; Nankeen Kestrel a little further on.  Sacred Kingfisher at Yarraman.  Red-rumped Parrot noted over D'Aguilar Highway between Blackbutt and Yarraman.
1 Good start to the month:  Olive-backed Oriole calling well along Allen Road pre-dawn this morning; Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoo returns to Allen Road; Peaceful Dove noted flying across property and one Brown Goshawk circling hign above house. Late report of Scaly-breasted Lorikeet [pair] flying over property.
